In a great location - just a hundred meters or so from the main square in town.

The breakfast was worthless. Just a couple pastries and cereal with warm milk ... and of course coffee or tea. But no eggs or meat. The internet did NOT work while I was there. And the security gate became an annoyance and did not always open up properly. Most of the staff members did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate needs, problems, etc. However, I will say that 2 of the 4 staff members were somewhat helpful and did try to help me with my needs.

The hotel is in a really nice old building. I had forgotten to book a parking space and the spaces are tiny but the guy was really nice and even went to park my car in the street. The location is good, only a 5mn walk to Piazza Del Duomo. In the same street there's a really nice bar with indie music.

It's a shame the double bed was two mattresses stuck together, it wasn't very comfortable.

The hotel is hard to find unless you know the area. Not for an elderly person . Over 50 stairs to walk up to the hotel. Parking is difficult

Large clean and comfortable room. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Indoor parking was provided for motorcycle.

Good location a couple of blocks from the Duomo. Young lady at reception was very welcoming, helpful and pleasant to chat to (she seemed generally concerned at my complaints about the mattress - see below - so hopefully will act on my suggestion to purchase new one).

We made the mistake of booking the room with the external bathroom just to save a few Euros on a long trip. Worst decision of the holiday. Should have been nothing wrong with this in principle, however it turned out to be something of a disaster. The mattresses in this room provided us with the worst night's sleep in our 5 week holiday. They reminded us of our New Zealand farm: lots of hills and valleys, with springs popping up all over the place. Impossible to find a comfortable position all night long so awoke feeling exhausted in the morning. The pillows were also hopeless, just lumps of chipped foam stuffed into a pillow case and falling out during the night. The external toilet also should not have been a problem but it had that distinctive musty odour that is all too common in older buildings in Europe, and the toilet didn't flush very well. General suggestion to others is if you plan on staying here then pay the little extra and book the rooms with the en-suite as we saw no complaints about them in the other reviews. If you insist on staying in this room, then check the mattresses before accepting it and make sure the management has bought new ones as I suggested on leaving. Otherwise, prepare for a sleepless night.

We liked really everything: quality of the rooms, stuff service, location (2 min walk from Duomo, 10-15 min walk from the Station, 15 min drive to the airport for the price of 18 euro). The only minus was the lift absence, which is a problem, as the hotel is situated on the 3d floor, but we were lucky: a guy from the staff helped us to carry the luggage up to our room. So we had a really pleasant stay.

Great position to visit everything in Catania.

No lift so you have to know that you have a lot of stairs before you can reach the reception.

It was a good rate for a room with 5 people in central Catania, a short walk to the main tourist areas. It was good to have parking at the hotel which was free. The staff were helpful on the phone when we were lost in the car, and spoke reasonable English.

The hotel is up four flights of stairs, and we had a lot of heavy luggage. Failities are fairly basic as you would expect in this price bracket.

The breakfast terrace. The staff were friendly and the family room was very airy and large.

The beds were uncomfortable. No lift. Cost of room is rather high for a two star hotel.

Location was excellent, breakfast terrace superb. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The parking possibility in the patio of the owners was very helpful, especially because of the central location in Catania. The breakfast on the terrace was amazing due to its wonderful view to the harbour.
